CONTROL OPTIONS

We can provide any controls solution to fit the customer’s needs.

Scissor Lift PLC

PLCs

Programmable Logic Controllers can be utilized to provide multiple functions and operations on our equipment (examples include high cycle and / or automated applications). PLCs are custom designed to fit your application.

Scissor Lift Control Panel

PUSH BUTTON STATIONS

A push button station, hand pendant or emergency stop can be remote mounted to provide the operator with a more convenient control location. Option to be shipped loose, wired to motor controller or junction box. Standard configurations for start/stop, forward/stop/reverse, emergency stop and up/down. Custom configured operator stations are also available. Custom hand pendant configurations are available. Standard enclosure is Nema 4 (polycarbonate). Enclosures can be upgraded to Nema 7/9 (explosion proof).

Scissor Lift Proximity Sensor

PROXIMITY SENSOR

Proximity sensors are used for “non-contact” lift or equipment motion sensing. The standard 18 mm proximity switch has a 10 mm sensing distance. Customer specified alternatives are available. The standard configuration has one “normally open” solid state output rated from 20-250V AC, 400 mA. Standard connection include a 6 ½ foot cable. Customers can choose to have proximity sensors shipped loose, mounted to equipment less wired, or wired to a motor controller or junction box.

Scissor Lift Foot Pedal

COVERED FOOT PEDAL

The covered foot pedal is available in a single, double or triple switch configuration (guard included) for up/down or start/stop applications. Customers can choose to have the foot pedal shipped loose or wired to a motor controller or junction box. A pneumatic foot pedal is also available for directly actuated pneumatic applications. Foot Pedals can be remotely located to provide the operator with hands-free control. Pedal enclosures can be upgraded to NEMA 7/9 (for additional compliance needs).

Scissor Lift Limit Switch

LIMIT SWITCH

Limit switches are used to detect equipment motion. An electrical device, through predetermined adjustments, limits the rotational or linear movement of a mechanism. Base configuration for limit switches assumes 115 VAC, and 24 VDC is optional. Arms for limit switches are available in a variety of styles. Our limit switch is available with quick disconnect connectors to simplify maintenance. Customers can choose to have limit switches and arm assemblies shipped loose, mounted to equipment less wired, or wired to a junction box or motor controller.

Scissor Lift with String Pot Transducer

STRING POT TRANSDUCERS

The string pot transducers provide accurate and reliable position control signals. With the transducer mounted at a fixed position, the extendable wire rope is attached to a moveable object. As movement occurs, the extension of the wire rope rotates and a sensing device produces an electrical output signal, which is used for repeatability and precision positioning. The PLC for String Pot Transducers can be either configured into the base UCC product or integrated with a customer’s PLC.

Scissor Lift with Energy Chain

ENERGY CHAIN

Energy chains are utilized to guide and protect moving cables and hoses. The energy chain helps to reduce downtime and extend the life of cables and hoses.

Scissor Lift with Pinch Protection Tapeswitch

TAPESWITCH

Tapeswitch is a pressure sensitive stop switch used to stop objects or equipment from becoming damaged. It is an electrical switching device that causes a contact closure when activated by a force and applied to the housing of the switch. When the force is removed, the contacts reopen releasing the stop action. A tapeswitch can be used as a barrier on tabletops of scissor lifts, Upenders, mast lifts and other specialty equipment.

EMERGENCY-STOP

Emergency stop buttons can be located remotely or on the UCC product to allow the equipment to come to a full stop when engaged. The emergency stop button is separate from the controller, very visible and well labeled enabling non-operators to stop the equipment. This is especially important for certain larger equipment or applications where complete visibility is obstructed.

Our standard hand pendant controller has 10 foot leads, with longer options available. Customers can choose to have the hand pendant controller shipped loose or wired to the motor controller junction box. The standard configuration include a two-button momentary switch. Additional control station integration can include forward/stop/reverse, and/or emergency stop and up/down. Standard enclosures are NEMA 4 (polycarbonate). Pendant enclosures can be upgraded to NEMA 7/9 (for additional compliance needs).

PEDESTAL

A free standing controls pedestal. Available for any controllers.

Scissor Lift Table Pneumatic Filter Regulator

FILTER REGULATOR

A filter/regulator/lock-out combination is available as a controls option for our pneumatic lifts. It is utilized to filter the air, regulate the pressure, and prevent contaminates from interfering with the pneumatic system. The lock-out feature can be employed to lock the equipment for maintenance.

LINEAR TRANSDUCERS

Linear transducers are used to provide accurate and reliable position control signals by using rods with special magnets. In many applications, the linear transducer is internal of our hydraulic cylinders but can be external as well. As the stroke of the cylinder extends the rod, the magnet will slide over the rod and provide a signal to the PLC being used to control the transducer.
